The reason for me being on the Arctic Ocean 2016 research cruise is primarily to gather data for my PhD research work. Let me tell you a bit about what I am doing up here.
As an exchange PhD student from the University of Belgrade, I want to tell you of my short stay at the NTNU – Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim. It is a story about climate change and NOx, developing models, and meeting new people.
Taking a PhD is about defining yourself as an independent researcher, becoming a field expert and evolving as a person. A journey, with lots of pitfalls and setbacks, sometimes exciting and pleasant, sometimes exhausting and seemly impossible, mostly unplanned and completely unknown beforehand, but hopefully bringing you to the right place at the right time (that is your defense).
