The overall goal of the System Simulation course is to give the students exercise in model, program, simulate and analyze dynamical problems where multiple engineering fields are present.

Every year at IPM the course TMM4150 Machine design and Mechatronics is taught. It is a basic introduction to mechatronic methodology, censor technology, actuators, Arduino, etc.; basically, the foundation of any maker who wants to build more functional, mechanical or even “smart” prototypes.
Ferrochrome is a widely used alloy of iron and chromium, essential in the stainless steel industry. We try to find a way of producing ferrochrome using natural gas instead of coal. This would give a more cost effective and environmentally friendly production process.
AfricanBioServices (Grant Agreement 641819) is NTNU’s largest EU project with a budget of close to 10 million euros. This is an EU-funded research project part of the Horizon 2020 research initiative. Horizon 2020 is the European framework programme for research and innovation that runs from 2014 to 2020 with a budget of 70 billion euros.
