Have you heard of Herman Watzinger?
He studied at NTNU* and was part of the Kon-Tiki expedition.
The Kon-Tiki expedition was a 1947 journey by raft across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands in a float composed of balsa tree trunks and without a single screw or nail.
The group, led by Thor Heyerdahl, wanted to demonstrate that people from South America could have settled Polynesia in pre-Columbian times.
